What to Expect & Bring
Event Schedule Basics
Soft opening RP in the Tavern starts at 8:00 PM Fridays. Game on begins at 10:00 PM Fridays.
Game ends at noon on Sundays. The game is on from game start until close, even at night.
Breakfast Saturday and Sunday is roughly 9:00–10:00 AM. Dinner Saturday is roughly 6:00 PM.
Players
What to Expect
- Expect a darker fantasy LARP with combat, roleplay, horror, court politics and mystery.
- You are responsible for portraying your own character.
- You should know your Vitality, Armor, Energy, skills, spells and basic safety calls.
- You do not need to know every rule before your first game. Learn the basics first and ask questions as you go.
- Expect to be outside in mud, heat/cold, rain, bugs and ever changing conditions.
- Expect combat to use safe controlled contact, this doesn't mean it won't sting from time to time.
- Expect a story with consequences. Characters can be permanently killed.
- Use Clarify if you do not understand a call or effect.
- Respect safety calls, non-combat markers, staff calls, and other players’ boundaries.
- Players are fed Saturday Breakfast, Saturday Dinner, and Sunday Breakfast.
Recommended Items to Bring
- Character costume or garb.
- Approved LARP weapons, shield, spell packets and armor if your character uses them.
- Character sheet. We can provide one at game if needed.
- Belt, pouch, bag, satchel or some way to carry in-game items.
- Comfortable boots or shoes.
- Weather-appropriate layers.
- Sleeping bag, blankets, pillow, or bedding.
- Towel.
- Toothbrush and toothpaste.
- Deodorant.
- Any needed medications.
- Phone charger.
- Power bank.
- Extra socks.
- Extra underwear.
- Extra clothes in case you get wet, muddy, cold, or sweaty.

- Snacks and drinks.
- Electrolytes or hydration packets.
- Backup costume pieces.
- Backup shoes or boots.
- Warm hat, gloves, or cold-weather layers.

At the end of the day, even in the worst weather, you can expect to have some fun!
NPCs / Cast
What to Expect
- NPCs play for free and are fed Saturday Breakfast, Saturday Dinner and Sunday Breakfast.
- Expect to play many roles throughout the weekend.
- You may be a monster, villager, cultist, noble servant, spirit or something much worse.
- Expect to follow staff direction for each role, scene or combat we will not leave you hanging.
- You may be asked to fight, roleplay, carry props, help set up, wear masks or wait quietly for your cue to attack.
- NPCs are not there to win. NPCs help create challenge, danger, story, tension, and memorable moments.
- Expect changes. The story can shift depending on what players do.
- Plan on being sweaty, muddy, cold, wet, tired or all of the above.
- Ask staff questions if you do not understand your role or stats, or anything you might have question about.
- Respect safety, player boundaries, staff direction, and non-combat markers.

NPC Reminder
Black clothing is your best base layer because it disappears under monster pieces, robes, armor, masks and general costuming.
- Avoid bright logos or modern graphics when possible.
- Costuming is welcome but optional.
- Staff may decline use of personal costume pieces depending on the scene or encounter.
- Bring clothes you are comfortable moving, sweating, and fighting in.
Pack for the weather you hope for, then pack for the weather that wants your socks dead.
Extra socks, extra underwear, backup clothes and dry sleeping gear can save your whole weekend.
